Unveiling how the use of silver currency affected the economy during Qing, as reflected by the tea trade between the Eastern and Western World, this research further reveals the far-reaching implications of economic actions performed by individuals. And it's not just about the past. Contemporary events such as the plummeted values of cryptocurrencies and the issue of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) are all associated to our research.
